His Life

Mr. Huddleston was born in Randolph County, Alabama on September 1, 1937, the son of the late Sarah Ann Rollins Huddleston and Zora Monroe Huddleston. He was a Christian by faith. He was a gifted mechanic and worked for many years at the Randolph County Bus Garage. He continued to do mechanic work for many years after. The outdoors was his favorite spot, and he enjoyed doing yard work, and anything that kept him with nature. In his younger years he especially loved fishing. Mr. A D had a knack for trading items with people. The joy of meeting with and making new friends made this especially fun for him. Music was also a great passion in his life. He loved playing the guitar and singing. The time spent performing with his sons were some of the most enjoyable moments of his life. He was married to the love of his life, Sally Frances Breed Huddleston for over 49 years, and together they raised three wonderful children. He will long be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Sally Frances Huddleston; one daughter, Amanda Suzy Chatman (Danny Joe); two sons, Doyle Huddleston, and Jeff Huddleston (Diane) all of Franklin, GA.; one sister, Clara Mae Cantrell of Valley, AL.; one brother, Troy Huddleston also of Valley, AL.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Hattie Huddleston, Annie Lou Baker, and Ida Overton; and two brothers, Roy and Ben Huddleston.
