The first of May will bring a change unto the weather
Great clouds like mighty ships across the sky will sail
The wind will whisper a sweeter song
Up in the Highlands, the snow will be gone

And when the summer's high the day will last forever
The moon will rise into a sky gone scarcely pale
The fields will dance through each golden day
Down by the river the children will play

I still don’t know what went wrong
I looked away for a moment
You were gone
And in the autumn oh dear Abigail the heather
So royal and regal like a cloak upon the vale
In my dreams we shall walk again
