Abimbola (Abi) Adenike Babalola was born on the 30th May 1967 in North London to Late Mr John Adeyemi and Mrs Felicia Olayemi Babalola and was the second of five Children.

She attended Tufnell Park Primary School in North London. In 1975, her parents relocated to Northern Nigeria where she went on to complete her primary school at Capital Primary School in Sokoto State; after which she attended Federal Government College, Sokoto.    

She studied Urban and Regional planning (URP) for her first degree at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Nigeria and graduated with the class of 1990.

Abi returned to London in 1991 where she pursued her post-graduate course in Business Management. 

An accomplished Senior Project Manager, she was a member of the Chartered Management Institute, Chartered Institute of IT, a Prince 2 Registered Practitioner, APM Certified Project Associate, and an MSP Registered Practitioner. 

An active church member, Abi gave her life to Christ as a teenager. 

Throughout her illness, Abi displayed strength, courage and faith that challenged everyone that came in contact with her. She radiated the light of Christ until she took her last breath.

She is survived by her Brother, Sisters, Nieces and Nephew.
