A TRIBUTE TO MY BEST FRIEND

Dobis was special. Dare I say extraordinary……
How do I describe the most selfless person I know? How do I explain the multitude of ways she made me better, or how she never missed an opportunity to encourage me, tell me she loved me or supported what I was doing likewise caution me when I’m going wrong? How do I begin to recount the timeless moments with my entire family. She was my husband’s girlfriend, the only person he calls whenever he needs some advice concerning me and my excesses, she gives listening ears with no expectation of anything in return. We always look forward to Ada’s coming to Port Harcourt. Her presence in the home is always fun. She has always been extraordinary.
Dobis was a mother, a sister, a friend, a woman of faith, and someone I can honestly say made me better.
She had a special way with my children treating them with such kindness, as though time with them was a gift. They always gave their best smiles, their biggest hugs to aunty Ada, and she never missed an opportunity to tell me how much she adored them. This is one of the things that is comforting me right now.
The last words you told me was “why are you getting worried, am I dying” you gave me so much assurance you’ll make it. You had a strong faith. But God knows best.
You were a treasure, my best friend. I am better for having known this beautiful soul. I will always miss you my Dobis. The whole family will miss you.
May your gentle soul find rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

A TRIBUTE TO A LOVELY AND INSPIRING LADY

Dobiskweo as I fondly called you....
I've been rather silent from the day of your demise but that's because it's been so hard to comprehend or even accept that we shall never speak again.
It's difficult to accept that you have left us in this world and gone to another. Why should life be like this!!
You are that beautiful, strong willed and forgiving lady and I shall always remember you that exact way, only difference being that it would be in pain that you left so early. What a loss!!!
It's so difficult that I do not even know what to write and how to even start, but believe me, the memories of you shall ever remain fresh in my heart and you will always be there. You did leave a permanent print in it.

Dobiskweo......sleep well in God's bosom till we meet to part no more.
