Tributes
Leave a tributeAkin, ten years ago you left us to be with the Lord, and your sudden departure inflicted a pain in the heart as hurting today just as it was ten years ago, yet we take consolation in the fact that you now dwell in a better place far away from the wickedness of this evil world and its evil workers!!
May your noble Soul continue to rest in perfect peace my beloved brother, amen!!
Always impeccably dressed, so brilliant, so caring. A role model per excellence, a classy gentleman.
Truly precious in the eyes of the Lord is the passing of His saints. I miss you dear friend. You are blessed, God bless you and yours always.........
And that struggle will continue until we meet again my friend.
Memory of the just is blessed.
Sleep on and sleep well my very good friend.
7yrs had just sped past like yesterday; I give thanks to God always when your thoughts comes to mind that in your short time here, you impacted so many lives and I'm one of them.
Keep resting in the bosom of the Lord.
But we are daily reminded of our mortality, as human beings.
We not only lost a dear friend/husband/father/brother etc., but the world lost a gem too early.
Continue to rest in his bosom
It is been five years that you have bade this world good bye. We loved you but the good Lord loved you better and He knows best. We remember all the good times and challenges of life shared during your sojourn here. Lucy and your children have kept the flag flying and are being strengthened daily by God as none of us can be another Akinwale Abiodun Ibitola to them. You are a true ‘akin’, continue to sleep in the bosom of the Lord.
Gone too soon, still fresh in my memory.
Rest in Peace!
Leave a Tribute
You will always be remembered
May your soul and souls of all the faithful departed continue to rest in peace amen
The night at lanres party
That was the first time
Met Akin Ibilola in our Masters class in Unilag in 1995 although he later left for Leeds on scholarship. He was a gentle, humble and highly cerebral guy; always impeccably dressed. He could perhaps very well have won the price for the quietest person in class. Didn't see him again until sometime in 2006 at a shopping mall in Ikeja.
Akin was an inspirational friend, study partner and confidant that I will forever remember and may God continue to guide the family he left behind. God knows best. Sleep tight, Akin.
