Her Life

Mrs. Alama Lee (Webb) Butler, 93, of Lanett passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Phenix City Health Care Nursing Home in Phenix City.

She is survived by 3 children, Linda Williams of Valley, Sandra-Cliff Fretwell of Columbus, and Jimmy-Debbie Butler of LaFayette.  Additionally she is survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.

She is the last living child of James and Mary Webb of Lanett.  She is preceded in death by 7 sisters, 4 brothers, her husband Robert Butler and 1 great -great grandchild, Thomas Wade Royster.

Alma was very proud of her family and to be alive to see 5 generations that she loved so dearly.  She is a member of Lanett First Baptist Church and a retiree of the Lanett Mill where she worked for 40 years.  After retirement she spent her life enjoying long walks and writing a biography along with several short stories and poems.  She will truly be missed by all of her family.
