she was born on june 19, 1933, to the late roosevelt and annie mae lumpkin. she was the oldest of nine children and was preceded in death by siblings, ella mae johnson, james lumpkin, johnny lumpkin, paulette morse and geraldine lumpkin and her eldest daughter hazel lumpkin.she joined the morton chapel baptist church at an early age. she was educated in the clark county school sysyem, graduating from union baptist institute in 1953. she was a community leader , great sister, excellent mother, and the most lovingness grandmother . her greatest joy was her grand children and great grand children she leaves a host of memories to be treasured by daughters elinor[kay kay], wilma and doris lumpkin, siblings, doris baughn, roosevelt[ patricia] lumpkin, charlene[;willie] pope, grandchildren, mark, eric, devon, chad, maurice, brenda, farashay, and terry, 9 great grand children and a host of relatives and friends,on tues evening december 29th,2015, alice rubell lumpkin , loving known as bell and ma bel, went to be with the lord after a lengthy illness.
