Alvin Joe Robinson was born March 20, 1932 in Meriwether County to the late Charlie Roberts and the late Cora Hill Roberts.  He departed the life April 19, 2012 at Fairburn Health Care Center.  

He accepted Christ in his life and became a member of Eastside Church of Christ where he served faithfully until his health failed.   

Alvin served in the United States Army for four years.   

Alvin was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Gates; one son Jame Lee and a grandaughter, LaTonya Johnson.  

He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife, Vurla Mae Robinson; children, Norris Robinson (Annette), Timothy Boddie (Andrea), Steven Robinson, Charlene Bohannon (Sonny), Angela Williams and Cynitha Robinson; step-son, Edward Adams (Bernice); siblings, Eddie B. Robinson (Rose), Azzie Lee Lester, Charlie Mae Gibbs, Elnora Burroughs and Irene Hall (Herby Lee); brother-in-law, Joe Lewis Whatley; sister-in-law, Betty McGruder; grandchildren, Randy, Rico, Charles (Sherri), Qunicy, Monica (Richard), Mellissa, Tammy, Tiffany, Qunita, Jania and Jaylon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
