His Life

A Glorious Life....

Amos Odufolarin was born on 22nd November 1940 to Ma Alimot Oduwole and Pa Badekale in Oru Ijebu, Ogun state. He was christened "Aransi" by his sweet mother (Alimot) who died at a very young age leaving him and his only sister, Late Prof. Mrs Olufunmilayo Adegbite, to her sister Aminat, who also passed on, leaving them behind to wade through the storms of life.

In spite of the absence of motherly care, Amos Odufolarin was determined to excel in lifeagainst all odds.He remained in oru Ijebu as he grew upand had his first formal education at sagun united school, Oru Ijebu. After his elementary education his uncle Pa Solomon O. Oduwole, took him to Aroloya in Lagos State to live with him. He continued his schooling at St. John school, Aroloya, Lagos and also attended Methodist Boys' High School where he obtained his West African School Leaving Certifcate. He bagged many Scholarship awards which boosted his academy career.

He fervently pursued his career in Accountancy with specialization in Auditing and financial Accounting. He was an affiliate of some renowned professional associations.

Amos Odufolarin was an epitome of good character, a harbinger of peace, a soft spoken and kindhearted personality.

He smiled back at death on 8th April 2013. We thank God for his presence among us.
