Her Life
December 1, 2014

Anastasia Ticha Fomeche was born in Tiko on the 27th August 1974 to the family of Papa Jacob Fomeche and Mami Magdalene Nkengzoh both from Nwametaw fondom in Alou Subdivision in the South West Region. She was the sixth child in a family of seven. She was baptized on the 9th November, 1976 as a Catholic Christian, a faith she professed even at the moment of her death.   This explains why when she signed her civil marriage on 15th April 2009 at Tiko Council, she felt the union completed when she did her church wedding in Garoua Cathedral on the 27th December 2009 and gladly exchanged vows with Eugene Ngalim.

Anastasia Ticha Fomeche-Ngalim attended Government Primary School Upper Costains, Tiko where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. She started her secondary education in GHS Mbengwi and later moved to CCAST Bambili where she obtained her GCE Ordinary Levels. In 1997-1999, she attended High School at Melvick Bilingual High School Etoug-Ebe, Yaounde, where she obtained her GCE Advanced Level. In 1999, Anastasia got admission into the department of Geology and Environmental Science of University of Buea Faculty of Science and graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology in 2004. Her passion to broaden her knowledge base took her to African Institute of Information and Technology (IAI) Garoua-Cameroon, where she obtained her Higher Diploma in Software Engineering.

Anastasia Ticha Fomeche-Ngalim was endowed with multiple abilities with which she served in many capacities at different phases of her life. She worked for SOWEDA, CAMTEL, and taught at Government High School, Garoua. Before her ill-health slowed her down, she served in Plan Cameroon as intern for six months. Her failing health notwithstanding, Anastasia spent the rest of her life in raising her two sons and her little daughter with unparalleled love and world-class devotion. She will be remembered for her sincere care, unique organizing skills and her unconditional love. She was called to rest on 26th November, 2014.
