My Brother – Angel in disguise

Heaven was running smoothly as always. Everything was exactly as it was supposed to be.
God had created the perfect place to be, a wonderful home for every Angel in His Kingdom.
This was the most beautiful place to rest, to play, to make any wish come true.
All of God’s Angels and Messengers and Teachers lived there happily together. There’s was constant Bliss – thi

s truly was Paradise.
This is what made it Heaven of course - this was the place you would go once you had fulfilled your mission in another part of God’s Kingdom. A place called Planet Earth.
Planet Earth is a special playground that God had created for all of His Angels. This was the only place where the Angels could go where they could do things and experience things that where impossible in Heaven
This filled many of the Angels with such awe and excitement – some of them where adventurous and could not wait for their chance to experience Earth. Others where only frightened and confused and could not understand why any of Gods Angels would choose to leave their wonderful Heavenly home for a place they knew nothing about
Every day the Angels would get together and play
They were always so full of Joy – always laughing and playing- they knew nothing else
But one day, God noticed that one of the Angels was not playing with as much fun and excitement as usual
“Little Angel of mine, what can so trouble your Soul that you do not enjoy yourself with your brothers and sisters?”
“I do not know God; I have some strange feelings inside me that I have not had before”
And God said “Tell Me about these feelings”
The Little Angel replied “I have been dreaming about Earth, I feel like I am supposed to go there- like someone needs my help”
“Ah, then perhaps you are now ready...”
“Ready? Ready for what?
“You are now ready for your special mission”
God explained to the Little Angel that from time to time He sends his Angels to Planet Earth for special missions
“You see my dear child, in My Kingdom there are many places and I have many Children – many of them live on Planet Earth and they are called Humans .Sometimes the Humans need our help so I assign each of my Angels a chance to go and help them”
“So are you ready?”
“Oh yes! I am ready! This will be an adventure! I want to go and help the humans!”
“Okay My Precious One, I will send you on a journey then - but I must warn you...”
“Warn me?”
“Yes – Planet Earth is very different from your home here in Heaven with Me – there are many things there that cannot be found in Heaven”
“Like what dear Lord?”
“Like pain”
“Pain? - What is pain?”
“It is the opposite of happiness – which is the dark side of the Joy you feel here every day”
“There are challenges faced by Humans every day that you cannot even imagine My Little One – these are the same challenges you must face if you are to help them and fulfil your Special Mission”
“That doesn’t sound nice dear god – I feel scared – I have never felt scared before – I don’t like it”
“This fear is also felt on earth – this is why you must go and help them – you are to help them out of their fear – but you see , you cannot help them if you cannot feel what they feel – you cannot know how unless you walk among them and see through their eyes “
“This mission will require you to be very brave – are you sure you are ready? Do you truly wish to go?”
“Yes, dear God – I am ready- I will be brave – I will do this... but I must ask – can you help me on this mission? Will I be on my own?”
“My dear and precious child – I am always here – you can never ever be alone. None of my children are ever alone – and this is part of your mission you see – for the humans often feel alone, abandoned, that there is nobody to call on when they need help – they forget the truth- that I am always there – sometimes they just cannot see Me – or they see Me and they do not believe it so I need my special Angels to help me to show them the light – for the light that shines from My Angels is so bright that once the humans see they will believe and they will never forget”
“So when I am on earth – all I have to do is call and you will be there?”
“Yes – but...”
“But what?”
“For you to go to Earth you must become a Human”
“What? You mean I cannot go as I am? I won’t have my wings and be able to fly”
“No My child – you must become as one of them – you must be born to a family as a baby and start a brand new life – in doing so you will forget that you are an Angel - you will not remember your home in Heaven”
“Then.., then how will I know who I am? How will I remember my mission? How will I know when it is complete? How will I get back home?”
“I will send you signs”
“Signs? What signs? How will I know them?”
“You must have faith in Me my dear one. Trust in your heart that I am there- call on me when you need Me”
I will meet you in your sleep- in your dreams – I will replenish you there – you will love your sleep and it will give you strength and comfort each day
“Okay my God – I trust you... what is my mission?”
“You will go to Earth – I will give you to a loving family who will look after you – but you will have many challenges to face”
“I am scared dear lord”
“Do not be afraid dear one – you are with Me and I with you always. Through every step of your journey I will be there and when the time is right I will call you home”
“Your mission is to live with your new family on earth- and you must break their hearts”
“What?”
“As you will forget yourself so do the Humans forget their True Nature on Earth – they do not remember themselves and they sometimes forget what really matters in life – so you are to help them to remember – lest they are lost in their world of dreams forever”
“Only when their hearts are truly broken can the love of an Angel be poured into the empty space created – Only then will your light shine so brightly that they will finally see it – and they will never deny it again. The will see it as surely as they see the sun shining and feel it as they feel its warmth.”
“This will be a challenging mission for you Little Angel as you are so full of love that you will fall in love with them and attach yourself to them so much so that it will be hard to remember who you really are”
“Dear God – if I must help them then I will risk it – as I trust you with all my heart. You tell me you will always be there for me and you will call me back home when you say it is the right time.”
“Good my sweet child, good. This you will teach to them. This will you show them with your example and your love and your light...”
And so- with a blink of an eye... Little Angel was sent on his Special Mission...
This is the story of my brother’s life
You see – he came into our lives once upon a time. Born into our family many moons ago and from day one we all knew he was something special.
He was born with many challenges to face - but face them he did with the bravery of a tiger, the savagery of a lion and the strength of a warrior.
He was showered with love from my mother and father and from me – and showered us with more love than we knew what to do with or how to handle
I think sometimes he forgot that he was an Angel. Maybe we all did.
But before he passed away he told me he just wanted to sleep – and he loved his sleep and so I know that God met him there – and called him Home – as promised.
And it was then that I realised that my brother was an Angel in Disguise
You broke our hearts dear brother
You filled our hearts with love that will never be lost
You filled our lives with a joy not found anywhere but in Heaven
You did your job perfectly my Little Angel
You are in our hearts forever. 
And we will never forget.
