I MISS YOU MY FRIEND!!!!!

November 30, 2010

I miss you more than words can say,
I think of you every single day,
I love you like my sister and friend,
I'll always love you til the end,

The more I think, the more I weep,
at least i have memories to keep,
I know we'll meet again soon enough,
but I can't wait cause this is tough,

Every time I see a pretty flower,
i think of you then my eyes shower,
Every time I take out my photo pile,
I look at you and me and I smile,

All the memories I hold in my heart,
No need to miss you, we're not apart
.

Spending Christmas with Jesus Christ

November 10, 2010

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below,
With tiny lights like heaven's stars
Reflecting in the snow.

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away that tear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But earthly music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it's beyond description
To hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
Trust God and have no fear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I can't tell you of the splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you imagine Christmas
With our Savior, face to face?

May God uplift your spirit
As I tell Him of your love
Then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirits sing
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the king!

Remember Me!

November 7, 2010

REMEMBER ME

REMEMBER ME WITH SMILES AND LAUGHTER.

FOR THAT'S THE WAY I'LL REMEMBER YOU ALL.

IF YOU CAN ONLY REMEMBER ME WITH TEARS,

THEN DON'T REMEMBER ME AT ALL.

Angie and I use to always tell each other when we were younger, "when I die, I want you to remember me with a smile" and we always promised each other that we would do just that. So when I close my eyes and picture her face, that smile is the first thing I see......  ;)

"Best Friend"

November 7, 2010

Angela

AS YEARS GO BY DAY BY DAY

I'VE TRAVELED ALONG LIFE'S HIGHWAY

I'VE BEEN UP AND I'VE BEEN DOWN

SOMETIMES JUST WENT 'ROUND AND 'ROUND

THERE ARE MANY TIMES I COULDN'T HAVE MADE IT THROUGH

IF I HADN'T BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE A FRIEND OR TWO

BUT THE ONE THAT STANDS OUT FROM ALL THE REST

IS YOU MY FRIEND, MY VERY BEST!!

YOU HAD BEEN WITH ME THROUGH THICK AND THIN

WHEN I JUST WANTED TO CRY, YOU MADE ME GRIN

WHEN I FELL DOWN, YOU HELPED ME UP

WITHOUT YOU, I WOULD HAVE BEEN FRESH OUT OF LUCK

YOU'LL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH YOUR FRIENDSHIP HAS MEANT

OR HOW MUCH I THANK YOU FOR GIVING OF YOURSELF

YOUR FRIENDSHIP, ONE OF MY LIFE'S GREATEST GIFTS

LOVE, SELENA      ;)

"A Child Loaned" For You "Mama Rose"

November 7, 2010

A Child Loaned
"I'll lend you for a little time
A child of Mine." He said.
"For you to love the while she lives
And mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three
But will you, till I call her back
Take care of her for Me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you
And should her stay be brief,
You'll have her lovely memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay
Since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want the child to learn.
I've looked this wide world over
In my
search for teacher's true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you;
Now will you give her all your love,
Nor think the labor vain
Nor hate Me when I come to call
And take her back again?

I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, They will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
For the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness,
We'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for her
Much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."

I met Angie a long time ago. We both attended the same church. It didn't take very long for us to become good friends, we had a great youth group at church. Soon after, we formed our own little gospel singing group with a couple of other good friends. Angie was one of the most energetic, loving and best friends I have ever had. She loved you for you and not how popular you were or how much money you had. She was very down to earth and very sassy! I will never forget all those good times at Ma Rose's house, eating, playing games and just hangin' out. We grew apart like most friends do but I never forgot. Later, when I found out she had passed, I just sat down and cried like a baby.

Angie, I know you are in a better place waiting for a time when we can all hang out together again. I still love and miss you!!!

Forever Missed....

FOREVER MISSED

I feel the warmth around me like you pressence is so near,

And I close my eyes to visualize your face when you were here.

I endure the times we spent together and they are locked inside my heart,

For as long as I have those memories

We will never be apart,

Eventhough we cannot speak no more, my voice is always there,

Because everynight before I sleep

I have you in my prayer.

Angela,

Someday, everything will make perfect sense....but for now, I must laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, and keep reminding myself that everything happens for a reason...

You may be gone, but certainly not forgotten....until we meet again...we love and miss you girl!

Angie

November 5, 2010

When I first met Angie, she was 13 or 14. We went to church together, we had a Gospel group, She was my maid of honor when I married  and she was my closest friend.

We were always eating (Rose made the best homemade bread) at her house or playing games "Remember Rose, when we all played clue?" she would guess it every time......lol she would laugh and she would walk around the house and say, "when ya got it, ya got it".

On Sundays we all got together and played football after church......Lord have mercy, you really wanted Angie on your team. She didn't like loosing.  We had a lot of laughs and shared so many tears.

She loved her family and her friends well.

Over time our paths parted......I'm sorry for that ......I should of been t here for you  Angie, I love you.

I tried to post a song for you, but It wouldn't let me, so here are the words.

The room grew still
As she made her way to Jesus
She stumbles through the tears that made her blind
She felt such pain
Some spoke in anger
Heard folks whisper
There's no place here for her kind
Still on she came
Through the shame that flushed her face
Until at last, she knelt before his feet
And though she spoke no words
Everything she said was heard
As she poured her love for the Master
From her box of alabaster

Refrain

And I've come to pour
My praise on Him
Like oil from Mary's alabaster box
Don't be angry if I wash his feet with my tears
And I dry them with my hair
You weren't there the night He found me
You did not feel what I felt
When he wrapped his love all around me and
You don't know the cost of the oil
In my alabaster box

I can't forget the way life used to be
I was a prisoner to the sin that had me bound
And I spent my days
Poured my life without measure
Into a little treasure box
I'd thought I'd found
Until the day when Jesus came to me
And healed my soul
With the wonder of His touch
So now I'm giving back to Him
All the praise He's worthy of
I've been forgiven
And that's why
I love Him so much

Refrain

And I've come to pour
My praise on Him
Like oil from Mary's alabaster box
Don't be angry if I wash his feet with my tears
And dry them with my hair (my hair)
You weren't there the night Jesus found me
You did not feel what I felt
When He wrapped his loving arms around me and
You don't know the cost of the oil
Oh, you don't know the cost of my praise
You don't know the cost of the oil
In my alabaster box
