Hi Mom,

I find it hard to believe that you have already been gone 2 months.  In celebration of your Birthday we dined on Chicago Dough deep dish... always a family favorite...Heck I remember the year we ordered enough pizza to justify them giving us a gift certificate for a free one... How often does that happen??? I know you are in peace up there in the big white light... Keep an eye on us and put in a good word for all of us with the Boss.  Dad misses you daily and can hardly believe that your not with him anymore... pray for him so that his mind may find peace.

I always think about our shared love of Hawaii... What a lovely place!!!  I hope and pray that we will make it there with Dad so that we can spread your ashes along the road to Hana and maybe a sprinkle at the Seven Sacred Pools... anyway here is a song from a Hawaiian composer that I think you will like.  Aloha and much love!

Dear Mom, today is the first day of summer, your 77th birthday! How odd it seems that you are not here to celebrate it with us. I hope your family has gathered round you to have a party in heaven! We miss you so much, mom. Dad mourns everyday and says many times over how much he loves you and what a beautiful, wonderful wife you were. He longs to meet you in heaven. Please look over him and your children as we care for him. Today is the summer solstice. We will celebrate your life into the long evening light with pizza , pop, and angle food cake, your favorites on birthdays. Send a special star into the night sky so I know you are there!
