"Was telling the boys about mama and the old blue station wagon she drove. We were on a back road heading to Liberty from the old white house we lived in. We got to old horseshoe curve and the car stopped in the curve. We finally figured out we were out of gas. No cell phones I had to walk up to a house and call daddy at the Bi-Rite(name was changed to Food Rite later) he wasn't happy."

"Mama loved animals and babies. We went to see the cougar that was at the dealship in Greensboro, NC. It was in a large cage and roped off. Mama went up and reached in and scratched its ears. It rolled over and she scratched its belly. A salesperson came up and told her not to that it would bite her or worse. It didn't and she played with it until we left."
