Annemarie Santos –  Age 50, born July 14th 1963 died May 17th 2014

always cheerful and up beat, she was adventurous and not afraid to try anything.

She attended Bakersfield High where she ran track and participated in other team sports.

A loving daughter, mother, sister, and devoted sweetheart and companion.

She enlisted in the U.S. Army in November of 1986 and earned the position of  E4 administrative assistant and was assigned to an Army Colonel stationed in Germany where she served for 3 years.

She earned the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Marksmanship Badge.

Predeceased by her father, Bob Santos, she is survived by:

Mother, Judi and her mother’s husband Bill Wood, brothers, Jerry Santos, Loren Santos Robert Santos, son and daughter Dylan and Clare Lotspeich and companion, partner, loving, and adoring spouse, Keith Mittan.  Born in Oakdale, CA and raised in Bakersfield,  she relocated to Paso Robles, CA in 2012 where she loved to take drives each evening through back neighborhoods and count as many deer she could spot every evening.  She loved to go on picnics at some of the local wineries taking her own inexpensive bottle and would kayak across Morro Bay to picnic on the strand.  She loved to cook and insisted on presentation. She would not eat on paper plates or use paper napkins. She had a great sense of humor and made it a point to remember everyone’s name including the checkers at the grocery store, Laundromat and anywhere else that she frequented and always tried to make them smile.  She lived a modest life, shopping frequently at second hand stores and yard sales and always pinched every penny.  She had a big heart and left a vacant hole in ours that will never be filled.  Annemarie celebrated mother’s day over lunch with her mother at her favorite place, Morro Bay, CA and  passed away one week later on the day of her eleventh anniversary. We miss you greatly Annemarie.
