Annie Lou “Lou Boo” Meadows was born on April 2, 1935 to the parentage of Mr. Willie Frank and Gensie Lou Thomas in LaFayette, Alabama. She was united in Christ at the Antioch Baptist Church.
 

As a young teen, Annie Lou later joined Evening Spring Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the Usher Board. She remained a dedicated and devoted member until God called her home.
 

She married Mr. Joseph Meadows, Sr. on September 7, 1953 in which 8 children were born.
 

She retired from both Cusseta Head Start and West Point Stevens.
 

On Thursday morning, October 9, 2014, God called his angel “Sweet Annie” home.
 

Annie Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Meadows, Sr.; father, Willie Frank Thomas; brother, Willie C. Thomas, and grandmother, Mollie Calloway Morgan.
 

Annie Lou leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Jo Anne Meadows, Los Angeles, CA, Jackie Constance ( Ray ) Perry, Prattville AL, Denise Meadows ( Herman Hill), Valley AL; five sons, Gary Meadows, Louisville KY, Frederick ( Cynthia ) Meadows, Alan ( Tisha Manley ) Meadows, Tony ( Carla Winston) Meadows, Joseph ( Tamicha ) Meadows. Mother, Gensie Lou Thomas, Lanett AL, four sisters, Betty Ann ( Rev. Walter ) Walker, Wichita KS; Lillie Thomas, Lanett AL, Liz Foster, Louisville KY, and LaChetta Woody, Lanett AL; Four brothers, Eddie B ( Dorothy ) Thomas, Jacksonville FL, Robert ( Celia ) Thomas, Atlanta GA, Gregory ( Tammy), Woody, Lanett AL and Michael ( Linda ) Woody, Valley AL. One sister-in-Law, Fannie Pearl Benton, Columbus OH; One brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Harrison, Columbus OH; 34 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
