Anthony J. Palensky, 25, of David City died Thursday, March 8, 2012, trying to save his grandfather from a house fire.

He was born July 20, 1986, in Schuyler to Leonard and Loretta (Vrana) Palensky, Jr. He attended school in Prague and graduated from Prague High School in 2005. He was currently employed at Timpte Manufacturing in David City. He moved in with his grandfather, after his grandmother died, to help him.

Survivors include: his parents, Leonard “Tom” and Loretta Palensky Jr.; siblings, Rachel (Eric) Johnson of David City, Christina (Kasey) Kadavy of Prague, Carla Palensky of Lincoln, Leonard (Shelbi) Palensky, III of Geneva, Christopher (Lindsey) Palensky of David City, William Palensky of Lincoln, Nathan (Christy) Palensky of David City.

He is preceded in death by grandparents and a sister.
