The recent passing of art visionary, Audrey Roberts, who was the founder ARTV and creator of International Fine Arts Awards, shocked and deeply saddened the entire art community and has severely devastated her many friends and family. Audrey was a passionate international art consultant that had a fierce desire to push limits, break rules and think outside the box.

A native New Yorker, Audrey was born on June 11th 1948 the oldest child of Charles and Teresa Roberts. Even at a young age Audge exhibited a unique tenacity for living life to its fullest and she had distinctive zeal for paving her own way regardless of conventional social standards and norms.

Her instinctual creativity and passion for The Arts landed Audrey at The Julliard School just out of high school. She studied with a variety of performing legends, including a personal mentorship with the infamous Uta Hagen. Audrey excelled at singing, dancing, acting and directing. After receiving her formal training, Audrey continued to build her reputation and credibility as an international art consultant.

She owned and operated a thriving art gallery on Market Street in San Francisco, CA and later moved to Sarasota, FL where her unconventional methods inspired the birth of ARTV America Productions. Since inception, ARTV served the national trade, fine art collectors and artists worldwide by specializing in consultation, promotion and productions of art events to educate audiences of all types.  In 1985 ARTV evolved as a video publication company and brought artists to collectors in 42 states in the USA. By 1991 Audrey had brought to fruition the first ARTV talk show which aired in Sarasota, Fl.

After years of progress and fine tuning, Audrey moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1993  and created and founded the very first International ARTV Awards. The first of several award shows launched in 2003 and was produced at the MGM Grand Resort in Las Vegas, NV and aired on national television, NBC, and Bravo. The awards only further highlighted ARTV’s mission of spotlighting emerging artists and educating the general public as to the benefits of fine arts through video, television, and staged productions.

Audrey Roberts worked hands on with a multitude of celebrity artists, including an exclusive partnership with the late Anthony Quinn, and filmed throughout Europe and China to expand ARTV to larger audiences. She was a multi-faceted, eccentric woman, with a burning passion to succeed and push people past their usual thought processes when it came to The Arts, often times going against the grain of everyday society. Audrey was unique in that the obstacles she encountered never discouraged or bothered her, but merely perpetuated her insatiable hunger for spreading art awareness and achieving her goals.

Audrey practiced martial arts throughout her lifetime, possessing the prestigious and highly coveted black belt. She was an avid botanist and had a love for the outdoors and adventures of all kinds. She was open-minded, free-spirited and never judged a book by its cover. Opposite her petite statue, Audrey’s heart was enormous and her life was certainly cut far too short.

She was a hands- on Godmother, aunt, sister, friend and significant other who will forever be loved, missed and cherished. Audrey is survived by her life partner, Maria Sanchez, her brother and sister, John Roberts and Tracy Ruck, her Goddaughters Ashley Hawks and Alexis Ruck, and family Kathie Jarrett, Kylie & Walker Hutchinson, Chris Shelton, Aimee Jones and Frank Rinaldi.
