Our Beloved Father,Late Mr.Augustine Ngaju Akunwa born on 13th August,1923 to the family of Late Osu Akunwa from Idumu-Onishei Quarters, Ubulu-Unor He had his early education in St James's Anglican school and completed his standard six in St Mark's Anglican school Ubulu Uku. Because of his passion for safe country, he joined the Nigeria Army where he grew to the rank of a Major-General before he retired and returned home.  In December 1968 he got married to his wife, Late Mrs. Gladys Adafor Akunwa at Bishop Thermal Memorial Church (BTM) Lagos, a marriage that was blessed with a daughter and 3 sons, 3 grand sons, 1 grand daughter, as follows; Children: Mr.Akunwa Paul Nkukwa (Son) Mrs. Precious Onuoha Née Akunwa(Daughter). Mr.Victor Okunwa Akunwa (son). Dr.Ernest Onyeisi Akunwa (son).  Grand children: Master Miracle Ngaju. Master Richard Ngaju. Master David Onuoha. Miss Treasure Faith Chidinma Ngaju. Daughters Inlaw: Mrs Ifeoma Akunwa. Mrs Kehinde Akunwa. Mrs Juliet Akunwa.He loved his daughters in law as his children  He married his wife with a rare humility. The rest is history.
