Snow Days
My Mom always thought of others before herself. In the early years, she was always cooking, cleaning or taking care of her children. On snowy winter days, she would put each of her six children in a snow suit, warm boots and gloves and send them out into the snow to play one by one. By the time she had finished dressing the last kid, the first one would be cold and wanting to come back in, so she began her undressing assembly line with a smile on her face. Never did I ever feel an ounce of anger or resentment at not having any time to herself. She loved her role as mother and we couldn't have asked for a better one. She was the epitome of what a good mother should be and we were blessed to have her as ours.
