Barbara Jane Storck, 68 of Westminster MD, passed away on April 21, 2016 at the Dove House - Carroll Hospice, after battling cancer. Born on November 17, 1947 in Baltimore MD, she was daughter to Betty Jane Hopkins who passed in 1981 and is survived by her father Donald Hopkins and Stepmom Virginia Hopkins. She was the loving wife to (Mark) Thomas Mark Storck Senior and is also survived by her 2 adoring sisters Kendal Leah Hopkins and Bettie Jane Beyer. Barbara enjoyed gardening and was known for her love of lilies. She had a green thumb and an eye for beautiful landscaping that was the envy of many. Animals and sea creatures of all types found a home with her from salt water fish to Yellow-naped Amazon Parrots, canaries and Long-eared rabbits to her Huskies (Nikki and Sasha) and her Australian Heeler Abbie and current pet Chihuahua Chloe, Barbara owned and homed them all. Many times throughout her life she rescued pets and nursed them to health to find them a home. Her children were lucky to have so many “pets”. Surviving her are her 3 children: daughter Tara Scarpignato and husband David, daughter Laurie Hoare and husband Brian, and son Thomas Mark Storck JR and wife Brandy. Also surviving Barbara are her 10 beautiful grandchildren and 2 adorable great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at Bennett Cerf Park Pavilion in Westminster on May 15th from 1-5pm where the family will receive family and friends.
