Oh, our sweet and outrageous Barbara!. There isn't enought time or space to tell her/our story. Barbara was my mother's (Doris) best friend. They worked at the Broadway together, my mother first having met Barbara in the employees dining area sobbing her eyes out (another story). But IT WAS ON!. So many vacations including a cruise during a hurricane!. Barbara became our dear friend, confi

I am Remmele Hinton, the youngest son of Barbara's Sister Shirley. Unfortunately I did not know Barbara well, however, I did on a couple of occasions call her when I lived in California in the 1980's. I recall in the few conversations I had with Barbara that she had a very strong faith in God and was very easy to speak to regarding matters of faith. She was encouraging to talk to.

I am the eldest son of her eldest sister Shirley Mildon(etc etc). My visits to see Barbara were always treasured. Filled with laughter and love. She was a sweet hearted soul. I now wish I asked more questions about her amazing past. I guess that is human nature..not realizing what treasure a family is until too late. May the long time sun shine upon you as you journey on, Barbara. hugs

Brief memory on Barbara

I am Remmele Hinton, the youngest son of Barbara's Sister Shirley.  Unfortunately I did not know Barbara well, however, I did on a couple of occasions call her when I lived in California in the 1980's.  I recall in the few conversations I had with Barbara that she had a very strong faith in God and was very easy to speak to regarding matters of faith.  She was an encouraging person to talk with as well.   The conversations I had with Barbara were always pleasant and Barbara clearly seemed to have a genuine love for people, and especially her family.

Spiritual Life

October 5, 2013

Both my parents were ordained ministers. They attended Glad Tidings in San Franscisco and were active teachers, and ministers.

When first Married, they lived in Huston, and there is a photo here showing mom with all sorts of taping equipment.  This is where  (I think) they did their writing and radio show production.
