Her Life
February 18, 2016

Mrs. Thrower was born in Franklin, Georgia on January 24, 1938, the daughter of the late, Estelle Cumbie Folds and John William Folds. She was a Christian by faith and had attended the Franklin United Methodist Church for many years. She was retired from the Uniroyal Manufacturing Company where she was a machine operator. For over thirty years she cared for the children who were infants at the Franklin United Methodist Church. The love and care with which she treated each little child will long be remembered not only by the children, but by their parents as well. Knowing that their babies were in such good hands enabled the parents to worship and learn without interruption. She was a loving mother and grandmother in her on home as well. Her children proclaim her as the best mother in the world. She loved seeing that all her family was fed well. Her homemade biscuits and peanut butter cake were their favorite dishes. Mrs. Barbara had a kind and gentle way of addressing everyone she knew that made you feel blessed to be in her presence. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by one daughter, Gretta Momman of Franklin, GA.; two brothers, Junior Wright of Franklin, GA., and Ray Wright of LaGrange, GA.; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Thrower (Eric Olah), Brandi Thrower, Kayla Thrower, Chuck Thrower (Amanda), Jason Thrower (Brandy), Daniel Momman, , and Joshua Spivey (Halie); and ten great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Thrower; three sons, Donald, Patrick (PL), and Allen Thrower; one sister, Ella Ruth Glass; and two brothers, James H. and John William Folds.
