June 19, 1948 – June 20, 2012

Beatrice Hartsfield, 64, of Bryan, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. A time for family to receive friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Hillier Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park.

Bea was born on June 19, 1948 to Paul and Maria (Medina) Yandell in Wheelock, Texas. She was a cataloger at Texas A & M University Library for 25 years retiring on May 31, 2010. Bea married Dennis Hartsfield on June 28, 1997.

She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was very active in the Children's Ministry. Bea also enjoyed reading and working with her flowers. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Breanna Lapaglia; father, Paul Yandell; sister, Hope Scardetta; brother, Paul Schweiger and brother-in-law, Bill Tresize.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hartsfield; daughters, Leah and husband Freddy Ramirez, Tanya and husband Rick Mangham, Veronica Johnson and Jessica Lapaglia; son, Nathan Hartsfield; grandchildren, Ariana Ramirez, Kendra Finch, J.C. Ramirez, Miguel Ramirez, Nicci Gordon, Justin Fowler, Kayli Guzman, Drew Gordon, Olivia Fowler, Anthony Fowler, Seaira Lapaglia, and Skylar Lapaglia and great-grandchildren, Isaiah Archuleta, Madyson Fowler and Alexis Guzman. Bea also leaves behind her mother, Maria Yandell; parents-in-law, Vern and Doris Hartsfield; sisters, Virginia Tresize and Carla and husband Tim Brundidge; brothers, Robert Yandell and David and wife Marie Yandell; sister-in-law, Cindy and husband Lenney Moore; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
