Beau,

My favorite Beau moments weren't necessarily when we were jumping.  No matter how late it was, how long we'd been driving for or the mood of the other people in the car, Beau would always be bubbling with excitement.

Excitement for the jump he had just done or was about to do.  Excitement, for the song on the radio or the meal he was about to eat.  Excitement, especially, for the future and all of the expeditions that he wanted to plan in the next ten years.  This excitement and unquenchable passion for the world around him were contagious.  no matter how many hours he had worked that day he was always ready to pack and head out for a little fun.  No matter how tired you were he could, and would, motivate you.  The bigger and more complicated the project the more interested he was.

I hope to live up to Beau's example and I hope to embody all of the wonderful qualities that I associate with Beau.  Beau will always be the most beautifully innocent and honest friend I've known.  I rarely heard him complain about or speak badly of another person.  His huge infectious smiles and inextinguishable enthusiasm were his hallmarks.  His ridiculously welcoming, friendly and relaxed approach to his every day life will be what I miss the most about Beau.

Please know that I hold Beau in highest regards and I always will.

Adventures of B&B March 13, 2015

March 14, 2015

Today marks six months since Beau physically left our earthly world to continue onto the next. But we continue to feel, see, hear, and share his energy.
I met Beau in October 2013 and we started our adventure in March 2014. We had found one another, someone we could run up mountains with! We had found our adventure partner, our soulmate. In comparison, I didn’t know Beau for as long as most of his friends. I had only met a handful of Beau’s friends in his presence, and sometimes it hurts thinking about it. You have no idea how often and with how much love he talked about his BASE community and his close friends. His eyes lit up and he’d smile with that incredible mustache when he would reminisce. He was just so happy and loving all the time!
In our short time together, we jam packed life, love, and experience. We adopted a Shiva puppy, moved to a different state, lived in a basement together. You have to either be super bonkers or really genuinely in love. Or maybe, probably both!
I edited this video about our wolf pack with the footage that we took last summer. I miss my buddy. I have no regrets, I try not to wish for things that I cannot have. I am happy and thankful for my memories, and I choose to live in this present moment in time. Thanks to all my brothers and sisters, I love you all.
For you, honey.

2011 story by Will Goleaux

March 14, 2015
An Adventure with Beau from Will Goleaux PLUS 5 months ago NOT YET RATED

Two years ago I was fortunate enough to meet Beau Weiher, an energetic young jumper with an infectious outlook on life and idea of pure pursuit.
I had been in Ouray, CO for a few weeks opening little cliffs here and there, and Beau was excited to drive over one day from Pagosa Springs for a jump. He was relatively new at jumping then, with only about 50 jumps.
The day he drove over, however, happened to be snowy, and about 14 degrees. We decided to go for one of the more forgiving exits around given the conditions. This particular one had a slight slope down to the cliff, and we decided a piece of dacron tied to a bush would add a bit of comfort in maneuvering to the exit point. While my descent went smooth, Beau had a slight mishap and almost slipped right off the cliff! The only thing that kept him safe was the little bush and dacron!!
I didn't realize it till he landed and told me, but he sure was super excited about making it down safe!
After this, Beau ended up moving to Ouray and continued opening new alpine exits in an around the San Juans, like a true Boss!
I wanted to share this story and footage, as it was a pretty wintry setting and fun adventure!
It was a pleasure to have been your friend Beau, may your spirit live on through us all!

It's tough to put the words together to share this video. If I can't come up with the words for the video, how can I ever put together the words to properly recognize Beau, who this video was made in memory of. Maybe that is just it, maybe life isn't about words. Who needs words if you have heart, you are kind to others, take chances, follow dreams, and pursue whatever it is that makes you happy?

Lori Weiher, his mother, we all thank you for bringing that amazing human into our lives. We love you and are here to support you. Your son is gone, but anyone that knew him knows that he is not forgotten. Forget Beau?! Impossible! It's been amazing getting to know you.

Rebecca Doll, you are one hardcore bad@$$ disguised as an adorable woman. Beau was as lucky as you, that's what made it love. The base family loves both of you. Thank you.

BASE family, Beau defined American BASE. That means way more than just jumping. It means being experienced in many outdoor disciplines, traveling, making friends, and leaving a positive impact on all of us. Jumping and chasing dreams because it is what your heart tells you to do. I can't thank you all, but BASE is a family like none other so; LOVE! Take care of each other and treasure the lives we are lucky to live.

Jamie Crawford another amazing edit. I couldn't put words to beau, but you somehow managed to edit a video that portrayed him perfectly. Nature, high level jumping, adventure, smiles, spiritual....and hell, even put to a JayZ song because let's face it, beau was that pimpin' smile emoticon Forever young!!! unsure emoticon great edit and thanks for dealing with my months of nagging and brainstorming. I wish we didn' have to take on this task, but we did. It was a pleasure dreaming with you. This meant a lot to me. I know it does to you and many others. Thank you.

Finally, Sean Chuma a Tandem Base ashdive from the sandstone cliffs in moab. It doesn't get much more unique and special than that. It was a pleasure to be a part of on so many levels. Simply, WOW!

Beau Weiher, you inspired and motivated me the day that I met you. We shared a passion for BASE. It moved and inspired you the way it does me. It isn't just about the jump. It's about the people, feelings, places, getting there, and where it takes you. It's my pleasure to release this video while in the mountains, walking highlines. Seems appropriate. Love and miss you....

Ladies and gentlemen,
"Grow a real mustache and jump."

Tears and love.....

A tribute to our Beau from Aunt Judy....

February 3, 2015

How do you capture a life in a few words?  Every time I count on words they fail me as they cannot adequately express our thoughts, our joys, our grief-but I want to try to use them to celebrate Beau's life.

When Jim married Lori we received a hughe gift in the form of three precious children-Cassie, Katrina and Beau.  I remember the first time I met them-it was Christmas at the Weiher's.  I felt sorry for them being introduced to our noisy, rednecked Christmas.  But they survived that one and many more that followed.  Beau was just a little guy and pretty bashful of all the new people he was meeting.  It didn't last too long as he soon became fast friends with his cousins-especially Daniel.  They played and played and played.  Always together, always having fun.  One of their favorites games was pushing grandma's recovered footstool around the living room in some invented game that all the cousins joined in on at one time or another.  Grandpa's homemade swing and teeter tooter were also favorites for the boys.

As Beau grew he emerged as a kind, sensitive but fearless young man.  Besides the family gatherings, he was in my youth group class at Hope Chapel and I got to know him in a different way.  Beau always sensed who was hurting-who was sad-who needed his help.  He was thoughtful and kind to "old people-particularly sensing their needs and doing everything he could to make them feel special and cared for.  His prayers were full of petitions for God to help those he thought were hurting or had special needs.  I saw that God answered those simple, unselfish prayers over and over again.  Beau performed in many Hope Chapel Christmas plays over the years-taking his part very seriously and helping me in any way he could.

I marveled at all the things he helped his dad with.  No matter how big the job, he was a match for it and kept up with the hard-working Jim which is no small accomplishment.

I missed everyone so much when they moved to Colorado but heard that Beau continued his dedication to football, working with his dad-and any other challenges that came his way.

On our last visit to Colorado, Beau wanted us to see the canyon close to their house.  We drove out to it one evening.  He ran to show us the wonders of the view and of course went to the very edge.  As I clung to the vehicle many yards away from the edge-he urged me to come and see the beauty he was seeing.  I wish I could have-I did not have his courage and only saw a glimpse of the wonder of God's creation in that canyon.

And so we come to Sunday evening and the call that changed our lives forever.  Beau the kind, courageous, adventurer is gone from our lives.  Or is he?  It was my privilege over the years of being Beau's youth group leader to hear his clear expression of faith.  That faith gave him courage and gives me comfort now.  Without a doubt, the angels picked up his broken body and immediately it was restored and his spirit was set freely-truly free to soar and celebrate and experience God's love and presence in a way we can only imagine from our earthly vantage point.  I know mom met him with a smile and some questions about him coming so soon.  In our hearts he lives-in God's heaven he lives forever.

Beau, lived fiercely, strongly, courageously, compassionately and kindly.  The bible says that three things remain when all else disappear - faith, hope and love - but the greatest of these is love.  Our love for Beau will remain when all else fades away.  God bless his memory.

Its not a BASE jump without hugs.  As Don Chrisharl said "Beau Weiher was the only person that said "I Love You" to people before every jump "Special Dude".  " Special Jump - I love all of you.

From Lori:

Another phrase Beau would always say too " 3 2 1 See Ya " and then jump.
