A memorial service for Bernie will be held on Saturday October 6th at St. Hubert's Church, 729 Grand Canyon Street, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169 at 11:00 am.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Indian American Medical Association Charitable Foundation Clinic, 8283 Ridgepointe Drive, Burr Ridge, Illinois, 60527.

A luncheon will follow Mass at Chandler's, 401 N. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, Il. 60194.

Aunt Bernie was always the stylish aunt whose home and clothes were tres chic. I remember the gatherings at her home, the split level one, where everything matched and coordinated. I remember coming to her cute condo after she was alone, going through all her photos to prepare a video for the family reunion in the Dells. Her sense of humor, her love for her kids, her vitality and smile.

How do you describe a friendship that has lasted over 65 years. I will miss my dear friend Bernie more that words can say but am happy to have so many wonderful memories. My heart goes out to all the family and friends who loved her and will miss her but are happy to know that she is finally at peace.

Cookie Grandma: I just wanted to say I really miss you. I'm sorry I never spent more time with you. I will never forget going to see Wicked with you on Broadway - and visiting Marshall Fields one last time before it was Macy's. I hope you are with Grandpa Larry and find peace & comfort with him.
