In 1960 Berny was visiting me in Detroit on his birthday. He was always so very happy that his birthday was on Memorial Day every year. I never ask him how he felt when they changed it to a Monday holiday. I know he was always glad he was older then me by 27 days. He must have learned a lot in that time because he sure taught me a thing or two.

I will and do miss my favorite brother in law. Hope to see u up there bern love Bob

I will always remember Berny from my appointments at Vivid. He was a very caring person and his love for Carolyn waas a wonderful thing to see. He gave so much for so many. Thanks Berny.

I met Berny after Carolyn had helped me through a very difficult time in my life. His sense of humor and winning smile always welcomed me when I went to Vivid. I once told Berny that I had a bracelet of a POW in Vietnam - I never gave it up. Berny told me never to give up on that man either. He is with all his buddies whose names are on the wall - He will be remembered with a smile.

If there was ever an example of a Christian husband, father, and gentleman it was Berny. His love for Carolyn twinkled in his eyes. And his steadfast love and service for our Lord was evident in his daily walk.
Berny's kindness and humor will certainly be missed. Rest in peace, dear friend. I look forward to another Berny hug in Heaven!

I met Berny when I started going to Vivid Hair Designs to have Carolyn work her magic on my hair. Berny always had something nice to say, and a big hug also. He is missed by me, and many others. Rest in peace Berny.
