Betsy was born to Mable and Melvin Slyter in Tacoma, Washington on the night of April 7, 1948. She was the first (by 12 minutes) of twins. Betsy had six siblings: Marie Anne, who married Dick Galbraith and lives in Shell Knob, Missouri; Beverly who married Jim Cavilee and lives in Portland, Oregon; Betty Greiner, (me), who lives in Portland, Oregon; Robert Slyter who lives in Yelm, Washington; Penny, who married Steve Spurgeon and lives in Texas, and Ed Slyter who married Micki and lives in Moses Lake Washington.

Betsy, and her husband Bill, have four daughters: Cindy, Ann, Linda and Candy.

Cindy and her husband Wayne Clevenger live in Graham,Washington, with their eight children Travis, Kyleigh, Branden, Baley, Tauni, William, Betsy and Darlene.

Ann Johnson (deceased July, 2015) had six children, Joey, Ross, Jr., Shanna, Justin, Lucy and Jackson.

Linda Bruno lives in Gig Harbor, Washington. She has six children: Tony, Kyle, Hope, William, Betsy and Darlene (twins).

Candy and her husband David Skaw live in Boring, Oregon. They have three children: Kyle, Alexis and Sabrina.

Betsy was like a second mother to my children also: Helen, who married Jim Gandee; they have a son Matthew, and live in Portland. Shannon Lee has three girls, Elizabeth, Heather and Jessica, and lives in Portland., Oregon, and Nick Greiner, who married Kathlene. They have twin boys, Dylan and Forrest, and live in Connecticut.
