This was taken in August of 2014, when I was so warmly hosted by Betsy and Kam. Kam drove over Dr. Pendleton to their home so that I could spend some more time with him, on my last day at their home.  Kam made a fantastic dinner while Betsy made an exotic sweet-dish specially for the ocassion. What a bright, eager look Betsy always had! And an excitement in her voice.

We at Betsy's office remember this day!  We kept checking our phones and emails  for picture updates from Betsy/Alice as to what they were trying on and looking at.  She looked amazing in that blue dress.  

 The girl with a book - the name given by Betsy to the un-named sculpture just outside her office. As she gently caressed the sculpture she said it was most appropriately placed and she loved it!  - was Betsy like that in her childhood?
