Dear Mom,
I'm writing you a note, because you saved all the letters I wrote you from Kindergarten until you passed. I hope it's beautiful where you are and that you are with your beloved Hartley, Sunny, Billy, and Mother. I LOVE YOU and miss you. As you called me Dody Dumpling.

House Cleaning Day

September 1, 2015

Mom hated to do housework. I remeber once when Chris and I were visiting she was trying to get the vacum cleaner to work and when I asked if I could help she said  "No, No No." I knew that she was grouchy but wasn't sure why. After a hour of trying to get the vacum to work she threw in the closet and told me and Chris to get dressed we were going to the hobby shop. On our way there she said that she had absolutely no time to do housework and Daddy Hartley was going to have to hire her a cleaning woman. Within the next couple of days she got her cleaning woman.

Turtle Funeral

August 11, 2015

Like my sister Chris said in the above story, which I remeber very well. I was scared to death, but my big sister held my hand and got us to the lost and found. I loved our summer vacations with Mom and Daddy Hartley. One year Mom let us buy  and on his third step his foot went into one of the uncovered holes and he broke his footlittle turtles that could live indoors. As, little kids we would not leave them alone and the turtle named Petey died. Well, me and Chris decided that we had to have a funeral for petey and bury him in the backyard. We dug sevral holes before we were satisfied with the right resting place for our beloved Petey. Not thinking that Hartley had great pride in his grass and yard, we only covered Petey's grave with the clump of grass we had dug out of the yard. When Daddy Hartley got home from work he went into the backyard to see what damage we may have caused to his hybrid grass and he took 2 steps and then without warning stepped into a hole we had left uncovered and broke his ankle. Mom Jackson came running out helped him in to his chair where he had a Martini waiting and she told him that we were only doing what any child would have done if one of their beloved pets passed away. Mom Jackson resuced us again.
