My Mother,Betty,Granny was a care giver to many.She may have not done the phycial action toward the later part of her life,but She did her part in Spirit.She knew Our Creator personaly ,No better place, then to know you where being lifted up in spirit to our loving Father for healing.
Mother ,was truly a great listener.When you needed someone to just listen it was her.Oh, I know after she set quietly listening she went in prayer ,She spent time with Jesus ,talking about what He would have her to do ,If anything at all to help that person.Theirs people to say if you need someone to talk to call me,or if you need someone to just listen call me. Maybe some day Mom ,I'LL find someone like you,just to listen.I don't need someone to tell me what ,the word of God says ,I know it dosen't hurt for anyone to hear it over and over again and again.Sometimes a person just needs someone to listen, without any comments and that is what my Mother did many times.When She did that ,I knew she went to Jesus in prayer ,Because of the calmness ,that fell upon me.When I received peace about me I knew it was the hand of God.
I look back at your courage and your determination,the way you gave so much love to others around you.Mom these action,showed what your heart was made of,Love. You brought hope to hearts that held no promise.You brought smiles to eyes that once held tears.Thank you Mom,always standing by me,even when you didn't agree with me.Thank you for your patience and forgiveness,even when I didn't deserve it.Thank you Mom for letting me stumble and fall,even when I would not take the advice you would give.Thank you for always accepting me for who I am and what I believe in, even when you knew I'm wrong.Thank you Mom for all these things, and all those I've forgotten.Thank you for all those prayers you lifted up to Jesus on my behalf Thank You Father God for the Mom You gave me,
Yes,It was taken directly to the most Powerful, Loving, Compassion Father of all.What amazing Mother to have,She put everything: Hurts,Worries,Pain,and every day,She lifted her family before God.OH,no she was not perfect,But she long to walk in the name of Jesus,to do His will,to glorify His name.Mom took everyone to God in prayer,many times she was in prayer for people she never knew.She just knew it was not a good situation for them.I am so proud of my Mom.Mom I love you and I miss you more each day that passes by.Worrier for our Lord Jesus Christ,She was.
Mom ,was one to reach out to all mothers ,To wish them a happy day.I remember Mom calling me at times before I called her,Just to wish me (her daughter) A Happy Mothers Day.What a lovely woman of God.She always thought of others,Just as God thought of others,when he set His only son to come and take our place.For all the wrong,in our life. Then when Jesus walk that long road carrying all the stripes across His bodywith blood running down,and the crown of thorns around about His head,beaten,mocked and then nailed to the tree,WHY not for Him self,It was for me.JESUS was conserned for others.Mom as days are going by and by and I look at things .I see that you were walking in the foot steps of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Mom ,missed you today and all week.I missed those pickeled eggs and those peanutbutter eggs you always had.Yes you always provided these things threw Easter along with your love for me ,I miss the happy look you always had watching us eat those eggs.
Mom,I know throw are praying time you said I would be ok that God was going to take care of me.Mom I know I have to forgive,That is something you taught thur your life of forgiving me, For all the nights you worried about me when I was out and not coming home ,not calling you,lying to you.Mom I'm so scared to forgive,I'm afraid I will not think of you daily like I do now,day and night.Mom I love you and miss you I want to think of you daily,the rest of my days.
Mom would always serve others, even as a child I remember mom making sure everyone else has set down to eat before she did.She always wanted to make sure there was enough to go around and everyone was full before she would eat.I'm sure there may have been times ,while raising ten children she did without.I remember mom saying is it what I need (or) is it a want.She still did that after we were all grown up and had gotten married.I believe she did that, so if we needed some help financially she would be able to help us .I thank my mom for many things in the later days of her life here on earth ,but I fell to ask her to forgive me of all the weary and troubles I caused her.My mom was like God always there for me with her arms wide open never bring up anything I have ever did.Still loving me the same.
Betty was the daughter of late George David Blizzard,Sr from Hopsville,WV.and Lillie Victoria Sims from Shaw WV. She was married to Harvey Cecil Friend in 1946 of June the 9th in Friendsville,MD . The minister was Rev S.A.Fansler. Mom was a resident of Kempton,W.Va age 19 and my dad was a resident of Friendsville,Md age 23.Mom had taken many studies and received certificates of completion.She was never born to quit on to go forward with JESUS.This is what happens when you let JESUS lead and you fellow.Mom was a homemaker,a garden,canner,and work out side the home.She did what she needed to do to supplier for her children even after we where all grown and having families of our own.She never quit prayer for any of us her list of family grow to everyone she came in contact with and even was she never meet.She was a member of Loch Lynn Church Of God in( Loch Lynn)now it's Mt Lake Park,Md. Mom was on the Prayer Team,She was part of the Prayer Meetings on thur. mornings for years.Mom was a strong believer in the POWER OF PRAYER.
