Bobbie Estes Ray, 83, a longtime resident of Durham County passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.

A native of Granville County, She was the daughter of the late Robbie and Lizzie Brogden Estes being the youngest of ten children. Bobbie was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Durham Public Schools with forty years of service.

Graveside services will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens, Creedmoor, N.C. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. by Pastor Donnie Cash.

Surviving is a daughter, Kelley Russell (Ronald) of Rougemont; three sons, Dennis Ray (Brenda), Ricky Ray (Debbie), Randy Ray (Tammy) all of Durham; three granddaughters, three grandsons, two great granddaughters and four great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis J. Ray; three sisters and six brothers.

Visitation will be held Friday evening September 29, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
