Mr. Bobby J. Chambers, Sr. of Columbus passed away Sunday at Midtown Medical Center at the age of 77.

The son of the late Sonny and Lottie Sanks Chambers, Mr. Chambers was born in Ft. Mitchell, AL on February 8, 1938. He was retired following 50 plus years as a supervisor at Reaves Wrecking Company, and was a United States Army Veteran. He was of Christian faith, and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fannie M. Snipes Chambers and a brother, Rev.Willie Chambers.

Surviving are: two sons, Michael Chambers and Bobby Chambers, Jr. (Jennifer); three daughters, Barbara Chambers Scott, Rita Chambers Johnson and Shelia Chambers Hudson; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; seven sisters, Ethel Presley, Addie Mae Matthews, Sandra Sue Benson (Arthur), Annie Singleton, Carol Coleman, Pastor Shirley Dean (Lucius) and Patricia McMeans; four brothers, Earnest Joe Mathis (Minnie), Angelo Chambers, Mingo Dickerson and Obery Chambers; a host of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
