Bobby Edward Griffin, 68, a resident of Granville County, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 576 Eastwood Road surrounded by his family.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Lee Scott Griffin and the late Gertrude Martin Griffin. He was medically retired from the trucking business and was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Sam Brewer and Rev. Jimmy Pulliam. Burial will be in Virgilian Cemetery in Virgilina, Virginia.
Surviving are a son, R. Dwayne Griffin and daughter-in-law, Pam Reagan Griffin of Oxford, a sister Cookie Langford of Roxboro, a brother Creston Griffin of South Boston, Va., three grandchildren, Robert D. Griffin, Jr., Edward S. Griffin and LeAnne R. Griffin, all of the home, Special Nieces and Nephews, Ted Langford, Kenneth Langford, Phyllis L. Burke, Wanda G. Elliott John Griffin, Paige D Hudson, Jr., and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paige D. Hudson. Active Pallbearers are, Aaron Blackwell, Daniel Vaughan, Ronald Whitt, William Hobgood, Mark Boyd, Jamie Frazier, Roger Rice and Carl Boyd.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at 576 Eastwood Road, Oxford, North Carolina, 27565.
