Bobby Parker was born September 19, 1933 in Pecan Gap, Texas. He was the only child born to the parentage of the late Eugene and Marie Crumpton and father, Robert Parker.He attended public school in Bonham, Texas the family later moved to Abilene, Texas where he graduated from Woodson High School. He joined the Army after his tour of duty then pursued his education at Butler College in Tyler, Texas and received his bachelor degree from there he pursued a Masters degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. He retired from Amoco Oil after twenty-five years of service. He was a member of the Greater Ideal Baptist Church. He departed this life on March 12, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
