"Dear Fran, Cindy, and Karen,
I am so glad I was able to see everyone at your 50th Wedding Anniversary! Bob was as I had always remembered him, and that is, a very warm hearted, friendly, and embracing soul that knew how to enjoy life. And this was way back in the day when I met him over a long weekend when I came to visit the Family in Grand Island. Hope to see you soon."
It is a long way back to those happy days in GI but they are fond memories. Bob lived with the mantra, "I pass this way but once; if I play my cards right, that will be enough." It probably was just about enough but he would never admit that.
The memories are rich and the prayers are useful.
"We were saddened to read of Bob's passing. May God bless the Jensen family and
may Bob gallantly sail the heavens with his Viking ancestors. Mary & Bill Schaab"

"Fran, Cindy and Karen,
This takes me back 40 years. I remember when the Jensen Family moved to Grand Island. The whole family was always so full of life. Sundays our family went to Youngs or Jensens for picnics and water skiing. Always so much fun. Another memory was the first time I went in their house the living room had a white carpet! Miss you all. XO,Deb"
"Fran, Cindy and Karen,
Though I only met Bob once, I enjoyed him so very much. He had such a zest for life and his love for his family just exuded from him. You were his treasures and he is busy preparing more surprises and treasures for you all in our eternal home. I pray comfort for you all and joy in the memories and in the promises to come.
Kirk and Kim Donahue (Jay's sister)"

Cindy and Jay are in our thoughts and prayers.
Matt and Sue Curtis"
"I am an (almost) lifelong friend of Jay and know Cindy through him. Almost like with a child, when a close friend hurts, so do you. Although I didn't know Bob, I admire these tributes and the fact he was doing what he truly loved. And, without a doubt, we'll all be together again -- forever. That's more than comforting. It's a fact."
"If yellow roses grow in heaven, pick a bunch for me. Place them in my dad's arms & tell him they're from me. Tell him that I love & miss him, & when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for a while. Because remembering him is easy. I do it everyday. There's an ache within my heart.. that will never go away.. I LOVE YOU DAD.
We're keeping you in our prayers.
Dave & Eve"
"I am so sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He and his wife Fran always welcomed my mom into their hearts and home. She worked for you at Viking on GI for many years. I was so sad when I read about Bob. I haven't seen you in many years, but think of you often when I drive by your old house on East River Rd. I will never forget Bob, how he used to call me his "girlfriend" when I was little, and I would run away giggling all the time. This website is awesome...it is a trip down memory lane.RIP Bob...We all love you! Dory Smith Matwijkow"

Love Maggie and family"
"Bob was one of those people who inspired us to live with more energy, vitality, and happiness. He seemed always able to look at the positive side of things. He was truly a man of action.
Bob would say "glad to know you" rather than "glad to meet you" giving you more a feeling of bonding that just a passive greeting. He was a true Viking; he never seemed tired of exploring."
"I will be forever grateful to Bob for giving the world my best friend Karen who shares her Dad's sense of adventure and joy for life that he lived every day. His love for his 3 "girls" was evident in his every look. I loved his smile, his passion, his kindness and all of that lives on in each one of us who were lucky enough to have known this wonderful man.
We are surrounding you with loving light"
