Another example of what a caring and thoughtful daughter Bonita is happened when she was about 13 or 14. We were in Lexington going somewhere and passed a homeless man holding a sign.Bonita had whoever was driving to pull over and she jumped out of the car and ran back to where the man was, took her coat off her back and gave it to the man. It was real cold and her coat was a nice one so I cringed a little wondering what we would do to replace it but it was very important to her and such a special thing to do but that's how she was....

It is really hard to remember the things that happened,sometimes the page gets all blury...I do feel better when I can remember the good times though, the good was always so very good..

When we were in my girls teenage years times were real tough finically.We lived literally hand to mouth as the saying goes.Once when we had a particularly bad month, I had gotten our monthly check and then figured our bills. There was 20.17 left for us to live on for that month. I had a weak moment and broke down and cried.(and cried..) Bonita had 20.00 she had saved for about a year and planned to save for her cheerleading expences.Yes, Bonita was a cheerleader in grades 6,7 and 8... anyway she got her money and brought it to me to put on our bills...I didn't take it but I have never forgotten how sweet her gesture was...

Bonita was about 2 or 3 and I had gotten her and her sister a mickey mouse watch which they dearly loved. One day they were playing in their sandbox and Bonita buried her watch deep in the sand.I was upset so I asked her why did she do that to which she replied "don't worry Mommy, it's a timex. It can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'"

Another time when Bonita was probally 6 or 7 a little girl came over to play. With the innocence children have she asked Bonita "are these 2 rooms all the house you have to live in?" (our house was really small..2 rooms) undaunted, Bonita calmly walked to the backdoor,which led to the outside ,flung it open and stated "welcome to my boudwaeh" I spelled that wrong but it means an elaborate bedroom.
