Memories

August 1, 2011

I will never forget the fun times we had with you when you were just a little guy.  Taking you to the circus, hockey games and monster truck races.  Those are memories I will always treasure.  My favorite memory is the time we did the skyflyer jump at Kings Island together.  I regretted doing it at the time, but still a fond memory. :)  I envied your bravery!  I enjoyed watching you grow up into a man, starting your own family and building a happy life.  How I wish you were still here to finish the story...

You will be missed!

Brandon's first Reds game

July 28, 2011

Steve and I were dating and loved going to Cincinnati Reds games. We invited Brandon to join us when he was just a little guy. Steve taught him a lot of baseball facts and he had a real good time. I remember when they introduced the players before they were up to bat, there was a giant photo of the player on the Jumbotron with his name and stats. One guy had a really bad photo. He looked like he had sat on a tack. His eyes were wide open with a very surprised look on his face. Brandon looked up at the Jumbotron and said "Wow that guy sure can stare!!" Steve and I just cracked up. He didn't realize it was just a bad photo and actually thought the guy was just staring out from the Jumbotron without blinking. Oh the innocence....

my wedding day 1990

July 28, 2011

Brandon was the ring bearer in my wedding when he was only 8 years old. He was dressed in a little tuxedo and oh so cute!! He was so excited and loved hanging with the other "big boys" in the wedding party. He posed for a picture in front of my husband's 1957 Chevy with the other members of the wedding party. All the guys were wearing "Blues Brothers" shades (including Brandon) and posing with their best "cool dude" pose. He did his part so well and even kept his little sister in line. It was a fun day and a great memory.
