Her Life

Mrs. Parker was born in LaGrange, Georgia on July 18, 1965, the daughter of Naomi Christine Moman Phillips and John Emory Phillips. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed attending Providence Baptist Church, and was a graduate of West Georgia Technical College where she obtained a degree in Marketing. For many years she was employed by Franklin Aluminum where she was a machine operator. Brenda had a tremendous capacity to love, especially children. The joy of her life was being a mother and grandmother, to not only her own children but her beloved companion, Billy Scarborough’s children, and all her nieces and nephews. She took great delight in preparing wonderful meals for her family. For twenty years she and Billy had taken the children on camping trips that were enjoyed by young and old alike. She was a loving, kind hearted lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her mother and father Christine and Johnny Phillips of Franklin, GA.; loving companion of twenty years, Billy Scarborough also of Franklin, GA.; four daughters, Heather Haney, Christina Morris both of Franklin, GA., Sabrina Scarborough of Ellijay, GA., and Kayla Keaton of Tallapoosa, GA.; one son, Austin Scarborough of Villa Rica, GA.; mother-in-love, Sue Scarborough of Ephesus, GA. ;three sisters, Joyce Killingsworth of LaGrange, GA., Tamara Watson, and Wanda Johnson both of Franklin, GA.; six brother, Kenneth Phillips of Centralhatchee, GA., Lamar Phillips of LaGrange, GA., Roger Scarborough of Tyus, Ga., Amos Scarborough of Ephesus, GA. , and Milton Scarborough of Buchanan, GA.; and thirteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, B.J. Scarborough.
