Mum was never without a smile. A strong survivor and a heart of gold. Mum would try to help those who had nothing or very little even if it meant it had a detrimental effect on herself. Mum would nip out to the post office and be gone for hours; gabbing away to people she'd meet at the post office, supermarket, on the street in passing. Mum was a very sociable person and never held a grudge. Not even against the people who were not loyal friends. Mum wasn't a rich person materialistically but was wealthy in compassion, love, caring and a good listener.
