Brian D. Schooler

 

 Loving husband and wonderful Papa, passed away surrounded by his wife and two sons on Dec. 27, 2014.  Brian fought a brave battle against Myxoid Chondrosarcoma. He was an example of strength and courage to his family, friends and coworkers.

 

He worked at Spirit Aerosystems for the past 28 years. Everyone who met Brian felt his unconditional love and joyful spirit. He was a committed mentor to the many young men and women he coached in football and track. He helped everyone believe they were the best. Nothing brought him more joy than coaching his own sons and being the best Papa in the world to them. He also was an incredibly loving husband to his high school sweetheart, Lisa.

 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Derrell Schooler. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa Schaefer Schooler; sons, Alex and Spenser Schooler; mother and father in law, Ruth and Sylvester Schaefer; brother Derrell (Donna) Schooler. Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 2, 2015; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, both at Church of the Magdalen. Memorials have been established with: Church of the Magdalen, 12626 E. 21st North, Wichita KS, 67206; Wichita Collegiate School, 9115 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.

Papa,
I miss you so much every single minute, I hope you can feel that! I am trying hard to hold onto all the memories we made together. But sometimes I just get so mad and sad that you are not by my side anymore. It feels like it is getting harder instead of easier lately, maybe because it is just starting to feel so real. I hope you know I love you with all my heart and soul! Lisa

Papa,
