Sgt. Brian Joseph Pedro was 27 years young, born on March 4, 1983 at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside California. He attended Elementary school in Beaver Falls, Pa. and Oceanside, Ca. He attended high school at 29 Palms, Ca. and graduated from El Camino high school in Oceanside, California.
Brian joined the Army in April 2006. In which he attended boot camp in Fort Knox, Kentucky, AIT School in Aberdeen, Maryland, and Airborne Jump School in Fort Benning, Georgia. Upon graduation he was station in Bamberg, Germany in 2006. In 2007 he served his first deployment in Afghanistan. In 2008 he was stationed in White Sands Missile Range in White Sands, New Mexico. He left for his second active duty deployment to Afghanistan in April 2010 with the 2nd Engineer Battalion. His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the NATO Medal.

He is survived by his Mother Lululima Pedro Nelson and Step-father Dave Nelson, Lil' Brother Bear, his wife Shanna, 4 Uncles: J.R. Pacanos (Janice), Ben Pedro (Sophia), Viali Pedro, Lorenzo Pedro. 9 Aunties: Simuka Ciammachilli, Faa'aloalo Koeing (Kent), Pe'a Rank, Beverly Peterson (Wolfgang), Candy Luette (Herman), Jill Hinckley (Theron), Wonder Pedro, Tulima Joseph (Fritz), Cooky Pedro, 50+ cousins along with a multitude of loving family and friends.
Brian Joseph Pedro will always be in our hearts for the impact he made on each of our lives. We will all miss him and will treasure his memory forever.
