Brian was my brother in law, He was married to my husband's sister. He would love to spend time with his family, and his specialty was preparing a good meal for eveyone. He was a "giver" not a "taker". When I returned from visiting our mother in law in New York, there was a delay in my return. He had just dropped his daughter off an the airport, and was expecting to pick me up and return home. However my plane did not get in until 12 hours later!! He did not complain or gripe, just genuinely concerned about my welfare.
Our last trip with us was to Big Bear Lake.He and Ryan came and spent the night in our cabin. Wetook the boatout to the lake, and he told us about his plans to Las Vegas to spend Superbowl weekend with his brothers and their friends. He went and boughtsteaks to grill. He told us how he had selected each steak for us personally, inspecting it for "perfection". We enjoyed his company, laughter, and will be sorely missed.

My Life Is Better Because of Brian

September 6, 2013

I knew Brian for a long time and we've had the opportunity to do lots of different activities over those many years.  Brian liked to talk and he was a good conversationalist who never quite let on as much as he knew which kept the conversation going and I liked that.  I don't know if you know this but Brian was very competitive too.  Even when we were grilling or just cooking at the house he would engage me from a somewhat confrontational tone of voice questioning my technique for grilling, frying, brazing, boiling or sandwich making. Was it a rub or marinade? What seasoning did I choose and so on.  The icing on the cake had to be the fact that when we planned to cook steak he always went for the biggest and best he could get because he liked to celebrate friendship and spending time together.  One thing that was for sure was if you planned to have a meal with him you couldn't be in a hurry because he really enjoyed his meals and so do I especially the ones I had with my friend Brian.  I miss him and relish the fond memories and good times we had together watching and helping each other grow as men and fathers and now grandfathers.  He was a hard working good man and a great example to me.  God bless him.  I miss him.
