Sister,
How much i was reminded today of your absence. It is Meesuan's traditional marriage, beautiful outing but your presence would have added some more beautiful colours to it all. But it is well.
Rest on Mum.

Auntie  was many things to many people, she will be forever remembered as our warm and ever caring big sister. We remember her today as always. We thank God for keeping uncle, Naaku, Dimieri and Meesuan.  We will meet at the feet of Jesus.

Happy Birthday

January 15, 2017

Today i would have celebrated your 64th Birthday showing you all the love you thought me, i would have made you smile, and hope that you would have been glad and proud of me, and my brothers. Today you rest with the Lord, and i hope you celebrate this day with our Lord in Heaven and you'll experience your first birthday in Heaven.
Happy Birthday Mummy, i love you and miss you everyday.

Nwanne and I met briefly as students in UI although she was 2years ahead of me. I thought she was one on the most beautiful girls on campus. Lo and behold we met again in Port Harcourt in 1981. We were now married to 2 Ogoni boys who were schoolmates. There began the long sisterhood. Nwanne is godmother to my daughter Kiki. Our children are friends and 'siblings'. As Christians we have attended hosted several prayer meetings interceding for our families, especially for Ogoni land. We bonded so well. We found ourselves married to men from a 'strange' land with different language, different culture, and lifestyle. But she always  told me that we were there for a purpose. Now she is gone. Kedu onye muna yaa ga nakpazi? God knows best. Laru ofuma ezigbo nwa Chukwu.

We will miss you

May 18, 2016

Dear Bridget,

Received the news with shock and disbelief. I can still hear your voice saying "my SAN". You were a very calm and kind lady with a wonderful disposition and healing hands. You will be sorely missed.

May you continue to rest in the Lord.

Charles and Mia Essien.

"I want to see Grandma"- Jessica

May 6, 2016

Each time we visit the Shell clinic in PH with our daughter Jessica, she will always request to see Grandma, she will run to her consulting door, drag it open, not minding who is in there, "Is grandma in there?, where is she?, can I see her?  Okey tell her I will see her next time.", this has always been the scenario; grandma was her physio for more than 6months, initially she was apprehensive, but when grandma used her experience style to approach her, she became eager to see grandma, she will obey all grandma ask her to do. That’s the kind of person grandma (Mrs Birabi) is. Where ever she finds herself she affect lives both young and old. She is always wear this welcoming smile whenever you meet her, she will give you her ear and heart even on the walk way. She will calm you down regardless of the situation.

Just yesterday when my wife went with Jessica to the clinic, as usually she went to her office but was told that she no longer work there and she sighed, oh, so where is she... Now I don’t know how to tell her grandma have gone home to be with the good Lord.

Mrs Birabi, you will be missed dearly, but we are rest assured that you will be welcomed home with hangs from the angels of heaven.  Jessica's Father.

NYSC State honours Awards

As a young dynamic graduate,I was posted to Ilaro in Ogun state for my compulsory NYSC,from camp(NYSC camp Sagamu) to place of primary Assigment(Ilaro),I served unrelentlessly because i wanted to Win the state honours which no physiotherapist had won in that state,Dr.Birabi supported all my projects in various ways.......The commendation and recommendation letter sent by Courier from NSP,which  was then chaired  by Dr.Birabi gave me an edge,I had no connection in Ogun state to "press botton" for me to win the Awards, but I had Dr.Birabi and her team,to write a winning commendation and recommendation lettter. To the God's Glory,I WON THE AWARDS!!!.
