Conjugal Bliss

July 21, 2007, Abusileri married her best friend, Mr. Ayotude Adebisi , her  close friend from her days in University of Ibadan. Together, they faithfully served the Lord at Redeemed Christian Church of God, House of Grace parish sowing fruits and ensuring that their fruits remain for the Lord. Her years with her husband can be described as beautiful, fruitful and full of love.

At the parish where her Husband was the Pastor in Charge, Busola was at the helm of affairs of almost all the departmental issues. She particularly loved the choir and the Children’s church and would go all out every year it was the Children’s week to give them a treat.

Despite Abusi, illness she was still a home maker. She was constantly bothered about what her Husband would eat after coming home from work and so would ensure the people around her would prepare his meal before they left. She ensured we stock the refrigerator with soups and stew every week such that  such Ayo would only need to micro wave when he wanted to eat. When she was told that the house lacked some provisions, she would not want to bother Ayo but would send her friends or sisters to the market.

She was a friend to Ayo’s siblings and as such they all took turns caring for her every day. One a particular day that her father in law visited and told her that one of Ayo’s siblings had taken ill; Busola began to cry because she felt guilty that her illness had taken a toll on her in laws health.

More about Abusileri

From a very early age in life, Abusi had assumed the role of an administrator. She always gave an advice to everyone in need, simply put- she was always willing to help. From cooking tips to giving direction to exam halls, offering to help with shopping for intending couple and organizing events every now and then in church. She was attentive to supporting people, caring for the sick, feeding the multitude.  Abusi was always ready to lend a helping hand. Busola was always that person to turn to as she would never turn you down.

As a children’s teacher, Busola lived an exemplary life, loving the Lord and teaching the children principles from the Bible, she drew them close. Her colleagues and family always had to be involved when she was planning a forum for the children in Church - infact she was named by many as ‘Iya ewe’    ( mother of children). As a chorister, Busola was a praiser- she lived to worship God with her tambourine in hand.  Abusi sang with all her heart to God. Even in her last days, she would still request that her sisters begin to sing songs of praises to God.

Her faith, solid as a rock and clear as a spring, revealed her love for Jesus Christ in all circumstances. Like a monk in the cloister, Abusi walked with her God. She daily experienced this conviction even in her last days. She often said ‘if I die believing, so be it’.

A wise woman who always had a word of comfort for everyone, to Busola no situation was insurmountable before God. She continually lived in the presence of God. Even if she had a difficult mission to fulfill, you can be assured of seeing her go to the church or finding her with tambourine in hand singing songs of praise.

Her husband would describe her as more than a friend that cannot be replaced, her sister’s would say she is a rare gem, to her mother she’s a gifted child, her Children Ayomide Pedro, Teniola Fabunmi and Olayiga Fabunmi would miss her well thought out gifts and prayers. One thing was certain about Busola’s life, despite all odds, she loved her God with all her being.

Till we meet to part no more at the feet of Jesus, sleep on our dear Abusileri.
