Carl “Chief” Minor, Jr., 60, a lifetime resident of Granville County went to his Heavenly Home, Wednesday, March 11, 2015.

A native of South Carolina, the son of the late Carl and Lubie Minor. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired painter.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 15 at 3:00 P.M. at Meadowview Memorial Park by Rev Carroll Glasscock.

Surviving are two brothers; Fate Minor and wife Joyce of Henderson, Marvin E. Minor of South Carolina, a sister, Brenda M. Brown of Seagrove, a daughter, Sarah Joyce Minor, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Neal Minor.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 15th from 1:00 – 2:30 prior to the service at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times the home of Kenny and Cyndi Bowen, 3636 Chewning Rd. Oxford, N.C.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made towards final expenses.

Carl has been a good friend to Brad and I over the years and we worked on many jobs together. It was always nice having a good friend that we could recommend to others for quality work. We are saddened to hear that he has passed and will miss him. Carl, go rest high on that mountain! Until we meet again!

carl will be truly missed in the lewis community and around dannys store . he always had a smile .I could always make him laugh... I really thought a lot of him..carl and fate were so good to me ...and so nice ...I sure will miss him he was good to every body
