I knew Bubba before I knew my dad, Timothy. Funny how life works out sometimes. Bubba always kept in contact and made sure that I felt like part of the family for my dad's sake. He didn't have to do any of the things that he did for me and I will always love and appreciate him for that. He was also there when I got one of my first, and biggest tattoos, he just thought that was awesome! Give pops a big ol hug for me.

Dad

As every one is aware my dad and I didn't have the model relationship. We had been in each others life then dropped out only to come back again. Some times he had been very hard to handle. But through those moments of trial we had triumph. My father was an insanely intelligent man. Fast at learning just about anything but common sense haha. I pull from him on that. We could make the same mistake 6 times before figuring out that we should do something another way. He was my dad but played dad to my younger brother. Then eventually took to my little sister. At one point he came to stay the weekend. I had been having some troubles with my boyfriend at the time. His exes parents were crazy and I was scared. So he came out and scouted them. He also made me hold a gun in my pants. "They won't body search a girl if it's a male cop." I just rolled my eyes and laughed hoping I wouldn't accidentally shoot my butt cheek off. I used to stay weekends with him and go to work with him. Got to meet remaining members if Sublime, Nirvana, and a band called The Meatpuppets. I went to monster truck shows and meet random people constantly. He was so social it blew my mind. We couldn't go any where without him knowing someone and stopping to talk to them for 20 minutes. But I do the same. Apparently we have much more in common than expected. Though we weren't together much I still loved him. No matter what he was always my dad.

good times

The only man I know that could trade guns to Libyans for pot in the 80s and get away with it. Shoot his own big toe and finger off and still look cool, and no matter how long it had been since you had seen him make you smile. During my first year in the air force he even managed to get me in trouble. I came home for Christmas and before I left unbeknownst to me he put a big sticker on the back of my van that said eat me my commander was not amused.
