Carmonte' Dixon

Carmonte' La'quindre Dixon was born October 8, 1990 in San Juan, PR to Shonte' Cabrera and Andres Dixon. 

Carmonte' accepted Christ early in life and later rededicated his life to Christ on June 9, 2012 at Shiloh Baptist Church. He graduated from SWD in 2008 where achieved outstanding accomplish both on and off the field, court, and track. He played AAU basketball and was the first in his hometown to get his jersey retired in two sports. He was recruited by many universities but chose to further his education in photography at the University of Houston, before recieving an offer from UGA in 2009. 

At UGA, Carmonte' achieved numerous awards and accolades for his work in the classroom and in the community. Upon graduating Carmonte' was offered to play for the Puerto Rican Baseball League, but instead chose to continue his education. As a graduate student at GSU, Carmonte' finished his final year of graudate school and obtained his M.S in Psychology with a A.A. in Criminal Justice before being stricken with illness.

Carmonte' leaves to cherish his memories a devoted mother Shonte' and father Andres. He also leaves his leagacy with his children, Jamon Dixon and Kaniya Dixon. Carmonte' has one loving sister and brother, Shontee' Nix (Ricky) and Cameron Dixon (Ashley); Three nieces/nephews, Rickey Jr, Arriyanna, and Lorenzo Nix; Four aunts, Tiffany Broadnax (Rod) , Marie Cabrera, Yolanda Johnson (Robert), and Rena Dixon; Five uncles, Thomas Dixon, Ricardo Cabrera, James Cabrera, Darrien Dixon, and John Dixon; special cousins, Yvette "Dreamz" Johnson, Anita Bryant, Ques Broadnax, Tre Sanchez, and Ant Bedell; and a host of cousins and friends who he loved dearly.
