Carolyn Lydell Ramsay, 74, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Granville Medical Center.

A native of California, she was the daughter of the late Leslie D. and Cleta L. Denham. Carolyn was a member of Stovall United Methodist Church and was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Stovall United Methodist Church by Rev. John Yount. Burial will be at Meadowview Cemetery.

Surviving Carolyn is her husband of fifty-eight years, Gordon R. Ramsay; daughter, LaVerne L. Dayton husband Steve of Pismo Beach, California; three sons, Vincent Ramsay and wife Victoria, Leslie Ramsay and wife Brenda, of Oxford, Gordon Ramsay and wife Alice of Anchorage, Alaska; ten grandchildren; Evelyn Collins, Aimee McDonald, Sherman Eastton, Keith Ramsay, Craig Ramsay, Heather Ramsay, Cody Ramsay, Preston Ramsay, Rachel Ramsay and 12 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ava, Gage, Harper, Lillian, Iris, Benjamin, Phoebe, Abigail, Justin, Connor, Stevin. She was preceded in death by her three sisters; Barbara, Inez, Jean, one brother Bill and grandson Shane Eastton.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening November,28th, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Stovall United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stovall United Methodist Church to help local needy families during Christmas.
