My mothers life as a child! She was the 3 of the youngest! Her nick name was tiny! Cause she was a small baby! She used to walk to school everyday! Sometimes five miles to and from! In snow and bad whether! She helped take care of her brothers and sisters! And learned to cook at age 9! She helped her mother out! And kept her school and grades up! She grew up went to nursing school in hastings! Worked here in grand island waitressing at age 19yrs! Than went to work for the ordness plant! She meet my Dad by chance where she went to a dance! And her date didn't show! And there was my dad! Who met her and they danced that nite! Her was in the military! And him and her wrote back and forth till he come home! When he was home he proposed to her !and they got married November 27! Not sure the date! Shortly after that my dad son started his earth moving business! And than deb my oldest sibling was born!than after that year by year there family grew! Than come mike rip mike July 2014/rick/Charlene/Pam /sherry and me in 1969! By than mom was a homeaker! While dad worked each day!sometimes till the dark of night!than start over at dawn next morning! Mom was a great cook! Could cook anything! Christmas/thanksgiving/and easter were her favorites! My mom and dad were together till I was 19 yes old! And dad lost his battle with heart disease! The strength of my mother never seem to fase, me! She did what she had to do! In facing difficult situations! She never gave up and never gave in! She was brave/strong/and courageous like my father/my daughter/my brother /my step dad/all of them who have passed on now! There lessons in life still remain the highest part of my living! And in my children's life! I try to lead by example like they did! My mother taught me to praise god in good and bad!to trust him !
